Parent Information Night: Keeping Our Kids Safe

Johnson Middle School held a great Parent Information Night at school recently. It was a relevant, impactful event coordinated by the school counselor, Rita Neumann. Johnson parents were empowered through knowledge from speakers from Orange County Department of Education and our Westminster Police Department. Even Westminster Chief of Police, Ralph Ornelas, came to share some insights! Parents learned about significant topics including the dangers of vaping, signs of human trafficking, gang recruitment, and the importance of sleep for kids. Parents were able to ask questions in a group setting, as well as one on one with presenters and all attendees enjoyed a free dinner after the event. Johnson Middle School believes that as a learning community, it is important to model what it means to be lifelong learners and they would like to thank the parents and staff in attendance who set such a great example.
