Every Student Succeeding Award Winner

Award

Today 8th Grader Nathaniel Torres was honored at the districts EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDING program. It honored the hard work Nathaniel and his family have shown to overcome many of the medical hurdles Nathaniel has had to jump over in his life. At the end of the ceremony it was announced that Nathaniel was chosen to represent the Westminster School District at the county event in March. His whole family was so touched by the recognition and I am sure we are all excited about Nathaniel getting even more recognition at the county level.

Music Department Gets a Grant!

The Music Department of Johnson Middle School is thankful for a $500 grant from the Huntington Valley West Committee of the Philharmonic Society. This is the second grant we have received from them. We really appreciate their generosity. With the most recent grant we were able to purchase a tenor saxophone. Pictured is our “Happy Tenor Saxophonist”. He has been playing the Alto Sax for two years and was excited to try something a little new. We are also thankful to Marilynn Manderscheid from the Huntington Valley West Committee of the Philharmonic Society who has been so supportive of our program.
