Drone Piloting Meeting on Wednesday, February 22nd after school in 3C

Racing Drone

Johnson Middle School is now offering a Drone Piloting Class. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAV) or more commonly known as drones are one of the fastest growing technologies in the world. Drones can be used for Videography on movie and TV sets, real estate promotions and weddings. The military uses drones for surveillance and dropping ordinances. Drone surveillance is also used by government agencies and theme parks. Drones are even being tested for delivering Amazon packages and pizza. Two of the fastest growing sports are drone racing and battle drones. Drone racing has even cut a broadcasting contract for cable television. Drone piloting and maintenance may be the future profession for many of our Johnson students. This class will equip students with basic drone knowledge to start them of this college and career path.

No School on Monday, February 20th

Please be aware that in recognition of Washington's birthday that Johnson Middle School will be closed. School will resume on Tuesday, February 21st.

New Drone Technology

The Scorpion 3 Hover Cycle is perhaps one of the most exciting inventions of the last decade. The Johnson Drone class will be following the roll out of this new technology and studying how it may change our lives.

Hoops for Heart

Hoops to Heart

JMS is proud to partner with the American Heart Association to help fight heart disease through Hoops for Heart, a very special community service program. Students have the ability to make a difference in the community by raising money for the American Heart Association and teaching others about healthy living habits. Students earn great thank-you gifts based upon the amount of contributions collected and turned in to the homeroom teacher.
